On November 12 I will be giving a cooking demonstration of Seasonal Treats, along with some hors d'oeuvres from the book,  and a book signing at a private home in Worthingridge.  There is no charge, but I will need to know if you want to come, so I can give you the address and tell the hostess, in order for her to plan for the number of guests.   Email me at [email protected] or contact me at my website if you are interested in coming to this special event.

This Wednesday, October 9, at 6:00 p.m. I am giving a culinary lecture on Potatoes, Pasta, Polenta and Rice--Cornerstones of Peasant Cooking, to  The Study Group, a women's group that has met for 70 years.  This event will take place at the home of my long-time culinary assistant and dear friend Pam Workman, in McConnelsville, Ohio.  Pam is going to prepare tastes of several of the dishes in my cookbook that I will be mentioning in the talk, and I will be signing my cookbook as well.  Looking forward to a wonderful time with these special ladies!

Next up on my event calendar is a Tasting and Autograph Party this Saturday, October 5, at noon at friend and fellow francophile Steffanie Haueisen's home in Worthington. Steffanie and her friends are creating a wonderful menu of recipes from the cookbook to enjoy!  If you would like to attend this free event, email me or facebook me so she'll know her numbers for serving.  This will be a great opportunity for all to discover some of the treasures in the cookbook, which you can purchase at the party.  Of course I'll be happy to autograph the books personally!

Friday evening's book launch at The Refectory was the material that dreams are made of.  The restaurant pulled out all the stops...and that's saying a lot for this restaurant, to make the event magical!  The kitchen recreated many of my hors d'oeuvres, plus chocolate mousse in pastry cups lined with raspberry sauce, and my biscotti recipe as well.  It was so good to see many of my friends, old and new, as well as students and staff, and enjoy some time together in camaraderie.   Many thanks to all who came and made this such a special night!

The Refectory Restaurant is hosting a cookbook launch for my book on Friday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m.  There will be hors d'oeuvres from the cookbook as well as wine and a slideshow of my classes, travels and food fun.  I will be at the event to autograph books.  Below is the invitation.  Hope to see you there!
